Fear Rightly Placed

Dear God,

We all say that we fear something, but I think the thing that we fear the most is the unknown. We have no way of knowing what will happen tomorrow, but to a certain degree we have to be prepared. "And He said unto His disciples, 'Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.' "(Luke 12:22) When Your Son said this to His disciples, He was telling them not to be anxious. Then Paul, the apostle echoed the same thought in Philippians, "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."(Phil. 4:6) The only way to approach a new day is down on our knees before You. Without You, we are throwing caution to the wind, and being anxious about the outcome.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright

Much Has Happened

Dear God,

So much has happened in the past couple of weeks, but Lord, You know what is going on. You will see all these things to the intended end and in Your timing. Thank You for those that have been sent along side to carry the burdens that we have. We know that we cannot accomplish these things on our own, but through Your almighty power we can accomplish anything. We look forward to what You still have planned for this family.

Lord, we are worshiping You while we wait, because You are the continued joy of our lives. Lord, protect my family as I go into the Navy. Thank You for all You have done.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright

What You Have Done For Us

Dear God,

How can we express our gratitude for what you have done for our country? We can turn our eyes and hearts back to You. Our money and monuments do not have the slogan "In Ourselves We Trust", but "In God We Trust." Have we forgotten Who allowed to found this great country? I would say that we have, and that we are headed down a path of destruction by saying, "Look what we did." Man prides himself in what he has done, and it saddens the heart of God. God, I pray for the protection of Your people, and may we proclaim the reason for our freedom is You.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright

Father of All

Dear God,

We honor Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. (Matthew 6:9-13) You are our Heavenly Father, and as such I want to say Happy Father's Day to You. You have done far more than any earthly father has done, but by doing that You have set the example for all fathers. Thank you for teaching us how to pray and live.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright

Time Stops For No Man

Dear God,

We are part of time, and it is always moving forward. We all wish for more time in the day, but unfortunately we only have what we have been given. Lord, each moment that You bless us with is precious. I ask that You help us to see the importance of the time that You have given us. I know that so many people have a limited amount of time on this earth, and so we have to make sure to give them the Gospel while they inhabit this mortal world. There are events in our lives that edging closer, and some we look forward to while others not so much. Lord, help us to have the strength to take on the tasks that lay ahead. What time do you have? You really don't know, but you best use what you do have and do so wisely. Lord, thank You for the time that You have allowed us to be here.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright

Thank You Letter to the Savior

Dear God,

I first of all want to thank you for sending Your Son to die on the cross for us, because without His sacrifice we would still be in the darkness of our sins. I know that this burden of sin weighed much on Him, because the night before His crucifixion; He cried sweat drops of blood at the thought of what was about to take place. This was His prayer, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto Thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what Thou wilt.(Mark 14:36) Jesus, You knew what You had to do in order to pay sin's debt, and You did it willingly. You are the Risen King and Almighty God.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright

Why Do We Only Come To Visit Once in a While?

Dear God,

Why do we only come into Your House only on holidays? We cannot grow as Your children, if we are not constantly in Your light. Your Word feeds the soul, and show us how to live a godly life. Many people only come when they feel like it, and we know that is not much for most of them. I am one of those that feels bad, if I miss going to church, and I will be glad when I am able to get into Your House more often, because I know that I need it.
Lord, thank you for being able to fellowship with You at home and at church.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright

A Long Week

Dear God,

There is much to do this week, and we are all starting off with an energy deficit. I know that in any situation that You are the one that holds us up and carries us through. I pray that You will give us all an extra measure of strength for this week. For those abroad that have a busy week ahead of them, I ask for the same measure of strength, especially those people in Japan. You did show how powerful creation was, and that at any moment something like that can happen to anybody. I will not forget the power that You possess.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright

Thank You Letter

Dear God,

Thank You Lord for what You have accomplished this week. I know that this helps to teach me patience, and it has done just that. I never imagined what You would have for me to do in the Navy, but I am grateful for what You have seen fit to do. I look forward to the things that You will do in the coming months.

Lord, give me strength to prepare my body for basic training, and give my family the peace that passes all understanding.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright

What Can I Do While I Wait?

Dear God,

Instead of being worried about when it is going to happen; I am more worried about what can I be doing in the mean time. Many people would get overwhelmed by the uncertainty of something like what I am encountering while I am trying to get into the Navy to serve my country. I know that You are making me to stand still right now, and I am completely willing to do so until You tell me to move forward. It is the test of patience that I have been through so many times before. It is through faith that brings about patience. Your work and will are perfect and will be till completion. Thank You for Your faithfulness.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright

Continuing to Work

Dear God,

So many times, I wonder when You are going to begin working in my life, but the thing is I know that You are constantly working in my life even though I might not recognize it. I will not ignore what You are doing in my life right now, because it is all for my good. I also remember that You provide for us everyday, and bountiful are Your blessings to us. My faith is small, but I know that I serve the God that has given us an examples of faith that was increased in the people that chose to serve Him. What I given to God will be used of God. Thank You, Lord for the ways that You work in my life.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright

A Long Day

Dear God,
I was up so early that even the early birds weren't up. This day was long and drawn out. It was difficult, but You saw me through it. I am doing my best to get things taken care of, but I know that You have something much better in mind. I know that we were all tired and somethings went awry, but You know what needed happen. We mess up sometimes, and even though we do You know how we can fix it so that we honor You in word and deed.
Lord, prepare us for the days ahead and prepare our hearts for what we have to learn from You.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright

Cold, But Warmed in Heart

Dear God,

The weather that You have sent has been harsh, but You have kept us safe through it all. There is beauty in the white snow, because with Jesus' blood we are washed and made white as the new fallen snow. Even though the snow is here for a short time, it is enough to remind us what You have done for us. Lord, help us to warm the hearts and souls of others by sharing Christ with the lost.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright
