What I Want To See In The Coming Year

Dear God,

Lord, You lead me in the paths of righteousness, and You pick me up when I fall down. I want to see You work in my family. I want to sit at the feet of Your Son, and learn the many things that He has in store for us in Your Word. I know that I am not perfect, and You did not save perfect people. If You went about saving perfect people, then Heaven would be empty. Yes, You did create us in Your image, but we chose to tarnish that image when we sinned against You.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright

Night Before Christmas

Dear God,

You have brought us together as a family, and we are all safely here. We have all been busy wrapping gifts, but we are not forgetting the reason why we celebrate Christmas. The greatest gift that we could ever receive came to us in the form of Your Son. Lord, give us the rest we need to celebrate tomorrow. Prepare our hearts as we remember the birth of Your Son. Thank You again for the gift of Your Son.

Sincerely,

Thank You For Coming to Earth

Dear God,

I want to express my appreciation for sending Your Son, Jesus, to Bethlehem so many years ago. Thank You for speaking to Joseph and Mary and guiding them safely to their destination. It took using people like us to accomplish this important task. You want to us spread Your Word, and one of the most important thing that we can say this holiday is Merry Christmas. You make this holiday worth it. It is a time that we come together with our families. For those not able to be home with their families, if they know You then they will be celebrate Your Son's Birthday wherever they are. Far more important was the fact that Your Son brought salvation to earth.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright

Listening and Looking

Dear God,

I am always listening to Your voice and looking for Your guidance. There are many things that we don't know about the future, but we serve a God that does. I am seeking your guidance patiently and I know that You will show the way.

"Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."(Psalms 119:105)

"I have inclined mine heart to perform Thy statutes alway, even unto the end."(Psalms 119:112)

"Thou art near, O Lord; and all thy commandments are truth."(Psalms 119:151)

Your Word is a constant reminder of how You constantly work in our lives. I love Thy law and will continually dwell on its precepts.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright

I Am Waiting For You

Dear God,

You have taught me patience over the years, and it has helped me to get through this time of waiting. "My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning."(Psalms 130:6)  You are there in the night, and You will be there in the morning. "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."(Isaiah 40:31) I am ready to mount up with wings as eagles, to run and not be weary, and to walk and not faint. I really don't have to type these words, because You through various people penned these verses in Your Word. Lord, thank you for the constant reminders of what You do in our lives.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright

Where Do I Go From Here?

Dear God,

I feel like I am at traffic light that is not turning green. I feel like I want call the people in charge of the light, and see what is going wrong. I hope that the light turns green soon, so that I can move forward. I know that You have a plan for me, and everything will fall into place. Another way to describe how I feel right now is like I putting together a puzzle that I missing the last few pieces to make it look like what is on the box. I know that You know what the big picture looks like.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright

What Have I Done For You?

Dear God,

I have probably done too many things for myself lately. I want to be used for You in all aspects of my life. With spiritual discernment, I will be able to discern what is honoring to You and what is not. I am thankful to You for giving me another year on this earth to serve You. It is amazing over the years to see Your everlasting and unconditional love. I know that I have not always made the right choices, but You have helped to redirect from going down the broad road of destruction. You have kept me out of harm's way and I thank You for Your protection. Help me to be a testimony of Your grace and to speak of Your great salvation.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright

You Know When It Will Happen

Dear God,

I have gotten a call about when I will be going for my physical for the military. I will not question when You want me to go. You are preparing us all for the coming change. I know that you are putting your hand of healing on my body, so that the physical will go well. I apologize for my impatience and frustration with the time that it is taking to get through all the paperwork and all the steps that it is taking to get to the goal of joining the Navy. Thank you for how You continue to bless my family.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright

He Hears Our Every Word

Dear God,

You already know what is going on and what will happen in the days ahead. We may think that our words escape the ears of God, but He is always listening. I put all the things that I have been blessed with back into Your hands; my wife, my son, my daughter, my finances, and everything. You use me how You see fit. I surrender all, all to You I owe. I look at this way it is like what will be doing when we cast our crowns before You. If we don't give it all to You, then how can we see You work. You know what needs work in our lives, so make the changes that we all need in order to better serve you.

Sincerely,
Wade Jinright
